How can i get Palkia in Pokemon Diamond?

I know that there is some way to get Palkia in the Diamond game. I saw my friend catch on.

    The story line you trade it could be on your pokedex with no way that it screws up the game but think that it will be on your pokedex with no way that it screws up the game there are other ways of getting palkia though.
